In a joint session of Congress certificates were verified and electoral votes for president and vice president were counted from each state. There was an objection to the Ohio electoral votes by Rep. Jones. It was announced that Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) signed the challenge to Ohio's votes, forcing a two-hour debate in both the House and the Senate on the objection today.
